Sundays motorbike gear was no where near as good as the first race had me braking 100yds earlier than required as my front brake decided to ‘breathe’ and let the lever come back to the bar, I had a good start again did the usual by now get passed Bill manoeuvre to hit fourth although he was in second for a while in the early laps, I could see smoke coming out of his bike but couldn’t really shout much to him as I went passed into Harry’s 1 again. I ended up being passed nearly every lap on the brakes somewhere and ended up 6th – crap > > back to Bike Racer

In between motorbike racing we checked out Beals bike to find a cam chain tensioning bolt that sits behind a frame rail had come loose but couldn’t be tightened because of its location. After much cursing and sticking his bottom lip out Beal gave the order to drop the engine at the front to reach it (we’d gone to the lengths of drilling a hole in the frame to reach it to no avail) but we were seriously close to the second race going out.
