Its amazing how a great weekend motorbike racing can have such a shite beginning... 5.30 on Friday morning and the Prev takes a while to kick over, but that's OK its been doing it for the last two weeks. The Prev's all loaded and ready to go so I go and tank up at the local station about 3 miles away. After tanking up I try to start it and .. nothing... oh a little bit... no...bugger all. I have to phone the missus who was still asleep, but got up, bless her heart, and bought a set of jump leads, from God knows where at that time in the morning, and just as she arrived the Prev started up!

So, not only feeling sick and queasy about facing Cadwell and the MOUNTAIN! but I have got to try and find a battery for the Prev, hopefully on somebody's shelf at 8.30 in the morning. Bingo! the second place I try has one, and for a good price as well.
So back home - Marmite on toast, half a mug of coffee and I am back on the road from motorbike racing. Jeezus...Cadwell's a bloody long way. Never mind, I arrive before lunch and find Splodge, who have been here all night. I have time to set up my prehistoric garage, and Gene proffers me a cup of tea and some pies, which I decide to save for Moof, who I know will appreciate them.
